elcome to the website for History 488: "The U.S. and the Korean War."  The instructor for the course is Dr. Nick Sarantakes, an assistant professor in the Department of History.  This class is a capstone course, which is required of all majors here at Texas A&M University--Commerce.  The class is restricted to juniors and seniors.  There are three main components of the capstone:  
tudents will be expected to attend the Korean War Lectureship Series.  To mark the fiftieth anniversary of this conflict, Texas A&M—Commerce is bringing a number of distinguished experts from across the country to campus to speak on various aspects of this episode in American history.  A number of experts from campus will also take part in this speaker series.
